Sadly, no, Boston is out. Are you going?

Glad you were able to travel like that. Wonderful. 'Aches and pains' we too can relate to. This move is something we are taking very gently and slowly.

Not a lot to report otherwise. Netsuke do appear, but much more slowly, and they are few and far between.

All is well for me. Aches and pains thst come with age. But I’m still enjoying my home on the island. I did just take a trip to Illinois to visit family and attend my grandsons high school graduation. I was so happy to spend time with them. I did travel to the Netherlands and Ireland with my son last year. It was also a wonderful trip. Other than that , not much happening… do take care… are you thinking of going to Boston for convention?

There have been problems with the site in the last few months and some folks have probably cut down their visits as it can be quite hit-and-miss. Things did improve with intervention patches by Martyn quite recently, but he did warn us that the site will be down and up intermittently as he continues to try and negotiate with the web hosts.

How's everything otherwise? (Some sea changes here, but nothing majorly negative happening.)

It is of soapstone, but I hope to work up to wood and alabaster.
Whilst I am not a master carver, it is a hobby that helps me relax after a long days work. Not retired yet, though wishing.
That being said, I have found that while handling and researching netsuke, I am also put a peace and full of wonder.

I think you all for having me and enjoy the wealth of knowledge that comes from all of you.

I can only aspire to gain knowledge about this incredible art form, it's history, and it's artists, while maybe making some friends along the way.
