Charity cyclists killed in Cornwall A30 crash

2 cyclists killed on first day of LEJOG _68501189_photo

The A30 is a busy and dangerous trunk road that is a popular holiday route in and out of Cornwall for large number of holidaymakers throughout the year. It is also a road with its fair share of cyclist deaths with 2 LEJOGers killed in a road accident with a truck on the first day of their charity trip to John O’Groats in 2013.

Personally speaking I would avoid the road entirely on a bike. There is no need to use it as there are many alternatives that offer fabulous cycling bypassing the route completely.

My advice if you are thinking of undertaking a LEJOG or JOGLE trip is AVOID IT!

My condolences to the families and friends of the cyclists concerned.
