Although Chester YH has been closed for sometime, it has also come to my notice that Kendoon SYH in Dumfries and Galloway has also closed (Alternative accommodation here).
A statement from the SYHA is that
“SYHA Hostelling Scotland no longer running Kendoon YH and it has been returned to the landowner”.
Also be reminded that Carlisle YH is student accommodation during University term time so check YHA website for opening times.
